I provide nutritional therapy services to clients to improve health naturally through diet and lifestyle interventions. I focus on preventative healthcare, the optimisation of physical and mental health and chronic health conditions. Through nutritional therapy consultations, dietary and lifestyle analysis and biochemical testing (where required), I aim to understand the underlying causes of your health issues which I will seek to address through personalised dietary therapy, supplements and lifestyle advice.
I am a qualified Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist helping you make conscious choices in prioritising your physical and mental health naturally through nutrition and healthy approaches that suit your lifestyle.
Today, there is a real and tangible change in how we understand and prioritise our own health. We don’t want to continue with multiple medications, often lifelong, to treat our symptoms. We want a more natural approach that tackles the root cause so we can have more control.
Like many nutritional therapists, I came into the profession for deeply personal reasons. My children, at the time, were really struggling with mental health issues, and Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) were beyond stretched. There was at least a two year waiting list, and the interim offer was for them to be given medications to suppress their feelings and mood. I have always sought to find solutions and I knew I needed to take a natural approach that would be sustainable, and not rely on medications, and waiting-list times.
After a 25 year career in Children’s and Mental Health charities I decided to go back to college and studied Naturopathic Nutrition at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. During this time, I booked one of my daughter’s to see a qualified naturopathic nutritionist. Within 8 weeks there was a transformational effect on her mental health and physical wellbeing. Her mood was lifted, her confidence in engaging with others was transformed, there was colour in her cheeks and she had more energy than she had had in a long time. And, crucially, her panic attacks about going into school every morning stopped and never returned. This positive experience using nutrition and supplements has strengthened my belief that we all have access to achieving better health in our own kitchens.
I now love working with parents who desperately need help supporting their children with low mood, anxiety, low self-esteem, and behavioural problems.
My clients also include those who have digestive problems, hormonal issues, blood-sugar imbalances, thyroid issues, fatigue/low energy, stress, anxiety, sleep problems, skin issues, reproductive issues and inflammatory conditions.
